Michael J. Romero is a licensed architect in the State of Maryland. Michael has nearly twenty years experience working on sustainable, traditional architectural projects; holistic masterplanning; and community engagement around the world. He also has diverse teaching and advocacy experience in architecture, urbanism, and sustainability. A product of a multi-cultural family, Michael aims to positively influence society by raising awareness of how the built environment, and the systems which create it, play such an important role in creating a more just and equal society for all cultures and races.
Previously, Michael served as a Director for The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community, based in London and in Washington, D.C. He learned how to be an architect while working at Merrill, Pastor, & Colgan Architects in Vero Beach, Florida.
Michael holds a Master of Arts in Sustainable Urbanism from the University of Wales via The Prince’s Foundation’s Graduate Fellowship program. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Notre Dame.
